"When I got my procedure done, it was very easy."
When I got my procedure done, it was very easy. It was actually during our baseball season, and I ended up missing just one day of coaching and work. And within a couple of days, everything was back to normal. And within a few weeks, I felt a big, big difference! So overall, the procedure was very easy, I had very little down time, and being as active as I am, I think that’s a big plus for anybody who’s going to undertake this procedure.

“I was being treated by Dr. Gillihan and was introduced to sinuplasty, and after I had the surgery, my life has changed 100%.”
Before I had sinuplasty, I had chronic sinus pain and countless sinus infections for 5 years. It was really debilitating. I’m a very active person and my days were getting very frustrating. I got to the point where I thought I had something a little more involved than a sinus infection.
My headaches were relentless. I went and had a battery of tests done on my head and brain and various other parts of my upper body to see if it was something more serious than a sinus infection. I even thought I might have cancer in the sinuses, something like that.
I was being treated by Dr. Gillihan and was introduced to sinuplasty, and after I had the surgery, my life has changed 100%. I no longer have sinus problems. My days are just wonderful, more energy, I rarely have headaches. My entire day is just . . . my whole life is changed.
It has just been a wonderful experience. I would recommend it to anybody. In fact, I have a friend that is going through the same thing that I was going through, and I told him to get sinuplasty. I think it might change his life.

"My relief of symptoms after sinuplasty have been amazing."
About 13 months ago I began having problems with my sinuses. I was experiencing some swelling and drainage problems that continued for a period of time and then I realized that I was having trouble sleeping at night. Not being able to concentrate, like I normally do, and that was affecting me at work. These symptoms continued for over a year I had been experiencing this for about 13 months at this point.
After several rounds of sinus medications and antibiotics I realized that this wasn’t something that I want to experience for the rest of my life. And talking to several people in town, Dr. McMillan’s name came up and I finally made this appointment. I came in to Dr. McMillan and I felt very very secure with him. He explained everything thoroughly and we both decided that sinuplasty would be something that would be very beneficial to myself.
My experience with sinuplasty was totally uplifting. I had fears. Dr. McMillan explained the procedure. We went through with it. I have to say to this day I have been very happy with this procedure. I have been free from all meds, all sinus sprays. It’s probably been around a good six months now. I have to say this is something I would definitely do for myself all over again if the occasion occurred. It’s a simple procedure. The procedure itself was very pleasant, I was very surprised. Made me feel very relaxed in the office along with his nurse. I’m experiencing no difficulty. It was very relaxing and it almost felt like I almost went to sleep as a matter of fact. That’s how easy it was for me.
My relief of symptoms after sinuplasty have been amazing. I used to struggle breathing, falling asleep, energy level, fatigue. Now I have been able to continue my lifestyle like a normal person. I am back at the gym, I feel healthy. I get told a lot by people how wonderful I look, because they saw me through this period of time and how it affected me. This is something that I would highly recommend to everybody. Sinuplasty was definitely the best thing for me and my lifestyle.

"My quality of life has drastically improved."
Before the procedure, I had difficulty breathing, especially at night. My nasal passageways would swell shut, so, I would be very agitated throughout the night and crabby the next day. I was always tired, with the different allergy medications. Sometimes the nasal sprays would work, sometimes they wouldn't. I would be disappointed after the different treatment options, never found the miracle drug that really helped me feel like I wanted to feel.
After the procedure, I'm feeling now like I'm more able to wake up in the morning and get up and get moving quickly and exercise and not have to wait around a couple of hours to feel better. I am rested and ready to take on the day. My quality of life has drastically improved. I used to be a full time teacher, so I am now re-entering the workforce.
I would definitely recommend this procedure to anyone who's suffering with chronic sinus issues and allergies.. . . it's life changing.

"I don't have the sinus drainage as well as that heaviness, constant feeling of pressure in my sinuses. My sinuses are clear."
During the procedure when your sinuses are dilated, you immediately feel some sense of relief in that some of the symptoms that you felt prior to the procedure - sinus congestion, pressure, headaches - that was gone for the first time since I can remember.
I felt better from day one. Having had the balloon dilation procedure, my sinuses, my quality of life has improved significantly. The night time coughing is gone. I don't have the sinus drainage as well as that heaviness, constant feeling of pressure in my sinuses. My sinuses are clear.
Without question, I would wholeheartedly recommend this. For the minor inconvenience of having the procedure done, you have a major step up in lifestyle quality.

"The procedure affected my quality of life in a positive way."
Before the procedure, I was having quite a bit of sinus pressure, congestion, drainage. I was having sinus infections maybe three to four times a year. I would typically complete a course of antibiotics, be OK for a few weeks, and then have to go back on the antibiotics again. And it seemed like there was really no end to it.
I was also typically on oral steroids as well. The steroids have a very undesirable side effect. They tend to make me have insomnia, be irritable, just not feel very good in general. The decongestants make me feel jittery. The antihistamines would make me very drowsy, so . . . always the side effects.
I returned to normal activities in less than 24 hours after the procedure. I had the procedure on a Friday afternoon, and was at work the next morning around 7am. Following the procedure, I was able to sleep so much better than prior to the procedure. I remember waking up with a refreshed feeling, going about my morning activities and feeling like I actually had energy. It just puts you in such a better mood for the entire day.
You really take for granted the ability to just breathe through your nose easily. The procedure affected my quality of life in a positive way. It gives you an overall sense of well-being and happiness.
